Bonjour tout le monde. I have some questions relating to CoG limits on the CP301B. I note from the Airworthiness Data Sheet for 301B (Fiche no. 28), that the Zone de centrage is quoted as " De 17 a 24 % de la corde de l'aile soit + 0,255 m et +0,36 m respectivement", whereas the same document for the 301A (Fiche no. 18) give the % MAC limits as 17% to 28% (255 mm to 420 mm). Why the difference? Both aircraft use the same wing (I think), wingspan 8,04 m, chord 1,485m. I found an article on file which includes a comment "Rousseau started building the CP301 with small modifications, with Piel's agreements.. positioning of the fastening of the spar..". I also can see from fiche no. 18, that the levelling datum/mise a niveau is "Longeron superieur d'habitacle calage 4° 10 (appareil cabre), whereas for the 301A it is 0°. Is that the answer, the 301B wing is set at a different angle? Grateful for any insight.
p.s. How does "appareil cabre" translate to english, is that tail down/nose up, or tail up/nose down?
